Hungarian tennis star Márton Fucsovics is set to play former world number one and multiple Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic in the first round of the US Open tennis championships.

There are high hopes for Fucsovics this year’s tournament as he enjoys the best season of his career so far.

Ranked an impressive 40th in the world, Fucsovics took his first major ATP tour title at the Geneva Open in May and has so far won over US$1,400,000 in prize money.

Sports critics say the match will be an exciting one and if Fucsovics can bring his best game, he will certainly give Djokovic a run for his money.
